Inspirations
Jonny NashJonny Nash is a renowned ambient artist and the founder of the acclaimed label Melody As Truth. Jonny has curated a special playlist of tracks that he was enjoying during the making of his new album "Once Was Ours Forever", along with a bit of backstory on each track. Check out into the playlist below and hear the sounds that inspired this incredible new album.

Inner Garden - Tomo Katsurada

This is a track from my friend Tomo's EP that came out last year called 'Dream Of The Egg'. He's a great songwriter and has such a delicate voice, I think this is my favourite track from the EP.

Too Young To Go Steady - Sam Wilkes, Craig Weinrib, Dylan Day

I think this self-titled album on Leaving Records went a bit under the radar initially but has gained a real following amongst those who found it. A fantastic stripped back album of bass, guitar and drums, beautiful intimate and soft playing, all recorded in a live take I believe.

Song For The Boys - Pat Metheny

I have a real soft spot for Pat's solo albums that he has released over the last few decades, they are all super comforting Sunday morning listening. Could have picked a whole bunch of tracks but this is a fave.

Many - Satomimagae

I listened alot to Satomimagae's music when making my album, she also contributed to the record with beautiful vocals on the track 'Rain Song'. This track from her recent album on RVNG 'Taba' is a great example of her unique style.

Sound Of Blue - White Poppy

Great shoegazey / Cocteau twins vibe on this track and indeed the whole album from White Poppy, came out in 2023 - a pretty prolific artist with a great run of albums in the last few years , also enjoyed her 2024 record Ataraxia.

Think Of Me As A Place - North Americans

IMO nobody quite does 'cosmic americana' like they guys, fantastic textures - you can just sink into all of their albums, highly recommended!

Onde Eu Vou - Lau Ro

I loved this album from Brazilian born Brighton based Lau Ro, it has a great psychedelic tropicalia vibe which I have kept coming back to.

Arbol Perenne (Gabo) - Preludio S:N

Super nice comp of rare Mexican electronic music from the 80s and 90s. lots of gems on this album but I love the opening track.
