"Alpha & Omega" by The Warlord
from Alpha & Omega 45 (1981)
Since new Colin and Muff
productions pop up i thought
i throw in this beauty. Albion
traded it with me some time
ago and i keep it in my safe-
house guarded by a disco
shitan.
The Sound on this is very
much like their stuff on the
supernova album mashed
with a famous 1981 Quincy
Jones production we all know
;) Really enjoying the hell
out if it. Thanks forever
Don Albion

"Zardoz (Beethoven Opus 92)" by Zzebra
from 45 / Polydor Germany / 1974
Zardoz is all at peace here
since the track starts after
he has already spoken.
Giving my sunday a
different drift ... Detox
after all

"Monotone Music" by Monotones
from 12" CNR Records / Germany / 1979
Nice electro disco pop
from the glamrockers
behind Catapult.
They released a great LP
that takes a completly
different lead and seems
to be stronly influenced
by the likes of Moroder
and co. The version of
Monotone Music on the
12" is still way too short,
but at least sounding
clean. Just smoked a
cig on the balcony
when this came up and
it popped i better share
it here ...
"E.S.P. (Extra sensory perception)" by Tony Binarelli / Persimfans
from La Quinta Dimesione (Eleven/Italy/1978)
True:
"Persimfans mix classical
music with electronic
avantgard, traditional
instruments, jazz, and
with a symphonic touch.
The music is mixed with
the spoken voice of
presenter/wizard Tony
Binarelli.
The original album also
included five tarot cards!
Their only release was this
strange, and beautiful
instrumental LP..."
I got both the LP and the
single and wish there
was more rhythm section,
but still such a beautyful
cosmic floater . Cosmic?
Did anyone say cosmic?
Hate that word! ;)
I meant Spaghetti wizard
bakery of course

"More... I Like It" by Adolf Stern
from 45 on Ciao / Italy / 1978
Because the devil always
shits on the same pile, i
found the 45 and the 12
on the same day.
Now u know how much
i am into 45s, not just
because they are so handy,
but also because of their
often unique artworks.
This illustration here with
the multicolour monkey
could kill an adult elephant.
I have it sitting in the
cage next to the Disco
Shitan now ;)
Ciao is more and more
getting my interest with
great releases on that
rather small label.
Makes me wanna
have more

"Alibi" by La Doppia Faccia
from 45 on Harmony / Italy / 1980
Poooh, so don't find enough
time for all the things life
asks right now. I was so
happy when i heard DC was
back, but stretched so bad
between parasol work, long
distance love, family,
record digging... First
tought this morning was
i have to check whats
going on here...
BANG - Love-chim movin on! Thats news!
I brought a little 45 along
that some of u probably
saw being sold in my store
some time ago. Outer space
gemm from italy and both
sides have fantastic, trippy
synths and skintight drums,
plus a Hauenstein-esque
warlord giovanotti on
vocals. Love how this starts
and how ie ends ...

"After Winter" by Nacash Brothers (late 70s)
from -
So good to be back - here
is one discovery that suits
the overall feeling i have.
Nice little 7" from France,
few copies out there, have
one for trade...
Goes out to my man
darklord! I'm with you
brother! After winter!
wishing you all a smooth slide into 2010
"The Girl And the Gold" by Yan Tregger
from Ducks And Drakes
As fuckin great as they come!
From one of my abs favorite
producers Yan tregger on
the tiny M.T.S. label! Madhouse!

"Lift Off" by BLUSH
from Out Of This World LP (1979)
Just woke up, perfect mood,
read something about ABBA
and thought that they were
really such a phenomena. I
went through some of their
titles in my head and sud-
denly thought that LIFT OFF by Blush sounds like an ABBA
track. Now that i listen to it
i realize there's the obvious
ABBA "genious" songwriting
missing, but that got replaced
by extreme "danceability"! In
fact the whole thing sounds
like ABBA had a child with
Patrick Cowley or something.
Which is impossible, of course.
