wow! all 4 of these songs were performed live last night at the 30th anniversary of CLUB FOOT . and let me tell you, they sounded fresher than most modern bands do today!
i ripped the entire side A of the Club Foot LP since its only 10 minutes and showcases the diverse acts that san francisco gave birth to in 1980!

"Watching Trees" by Eleven Pond from Bas Relief
the 80's hit that never was.
Eleven Pond were a band from Rochester NY that specialized in "Dark Dance." Influenced by what was going on overseas at 4AD and Factory Records, they wrote catchy songs with meaning, then broke up in 1987.
The new wave of acts referencing this sound should take notes.
I just reissued Eleven Pond's only LP "Bas Relief" in a limited run of 500 hand numbered/silk screened copies on my record label Dark Entries . Get it!
