"Signed Curtain" by Matching Mole
from Matching Mole
bookends Mother's post from a couple of days back... This album is slaying me.
Robert Wyatt's cheeky adlib lyrics and jazz noodles.
long live the DC!

"Moon in June" by Soft Machine
from Third
Spent the last few days enjoying foggy Central Coast beach life from Big Sur down to Morro Bay. Found a great vinyl shop in Morro Bay called Vinyl Isle and picked up a copy of Third. This Wyatt number has been helping me keep my "ye olde sea cat" on. Here is the live version from 1969.

"Warum" by Giorgio Moroder
from Einzelganger
fantastic weekend of sounds kicked off with the awesome Windsurf Over America show and ending with this .
"Rainflower" by Jade Warrior
from Floating World
I'm so Jade Warrior these days.
Try come listen. Bring da wahine. Bring da keiki. No shame.

"all my love" by led zeppelin
from in through the out door
Listened to this album coming back from a surf sesh. Realized I have it on cassette, vinyl, CD and ipod, (shouldn't be too hard to find an 8track somewhere). Been sounding like my summers since 1980.
all my love

"Uptown Top Ranking" by Tight'n Up
from YouTube
Never heard this spin on Althea and Donna's classy number. Ladies got the moves.

"Teenage Love '69" by Eroc
from Eroc 1
50's rock kraut style. Heroic guitar for miles. Mahalo to the kine bud who kitted me out with this .

"Free Will and Testament" by Robert Wyatt
from Shleep
A kin bud gave me 2 home spun DVD's that seem to contain every inch of Robert Wyatt video/film that was ever recorded. Love this song, filled with Wyattisms...
"So when I say that I know me how can I know that...What kind of spider understands arachnophobia?"
"Frontera" by Phil Manzanera
from Diamond Head
I'm really digging the Phil Manzanera Latino thing, its all over this album. My favorite with Robert Wyatt's stream of conciousness travel spanish over the top. I never get tired of this.
"Golden" by Jill Scott
from Beautiful Human, Words and Sound Vol. 2
Hotel time = TV-A-Thon!
I got really into this show, (along with 1000 middle aged house wives) "Number one Ladies Detective Agency", kinda zany, like the Rockford files but substitute a pack of awesome African ladies. Jill Scott is the ring leader of the lady squad, check this vid for golden , has it all: white suit, bike cruisin' with a big smile, and watching the waves at sunset.
