"Nie Zawsze Noc Nam Sprzyja" by Basspace from 555555

weird polish post punky fusion record i found. sorry it sounds so muddy, that's just the way the record sounds.

"Lil Marlene" by Altair-4 from 12"

This is the b-side to a New Beat cover of Hot Chocolate's "Everyone's a Winner". kinda threw me for a loop. sounds like having a late night cig w/erik satie.

"Lumia" by Roger Powell from Cosmic Furnace

found this one on a stoop sale outside of berkeley amoeba for $0.50. had orange paint along the top edge which i heard means that the store thought it was shit and they painted it so that next time someone tried to bring it back in, they wouldn't even have to think about it, just went straight to the no pile. their loss, my gain.

"IRM" by Charlotte Gainsbourg from s/t

so great. new one being produced by beck. this track sounds like silver apples and yoko ono. so impressed

"Of The Earth" by Of The Earth from Of The Earth

picked this up when i was in melbourne. can't find the slightest bit of info on it. weird private press proggy/jazz record. it mellows out around 4.20 (don't we all) and a woman's vocals come it. the drumming sorta reminds me of the McDonald Giles record.

"Uh... Uh..." by Adriano Celentano from Uh... Uh...

found this record recently and wasn't sure what the album cover was all about. looks like something from Planet of the Apes. watched a few clips on youtube. i guess he was an like the missing link that gets famous or something? (encino man, anyone?) i think everyone in this clip is doing the monkey dance. pretty wacky.

"Exploring the Underworld" by Zru Vogue from Zru Vogue

found this the other day. first side's kinda twangy college rock, not so much my thing, but second is nice, weird funky, world inspired post punk. looks like they're from the bay area and still putting out stuff.
