Love that break after 3:27.

"Deep Space LIVE @ Woal, Takasaki-Gunma, Japan 28.04.2008" by Francois K
from

Almost 6 hours of Francois' dubby, techy, FX'd-out goodness! Perfect for this overcast SoCal weekend.
Found on SoundCloud.
"Where Is My Mind?" by Pixies
from Surfer Rosa
Where Is My Mind?
Watching a documentary on Coachella and the mediocre performances that filled it. Then some band comes on and sucks me in for feels like an hour. Had to find this tune soon after, but that live version is what set it in.

"Outre-Mer" by Slam Mode
from Novus Ordo EP

Slam Mode - Outre-Mer (Glasgow Underground)
This jam is almost 10 years old and perfect for these overcast days we've been having in SoCal. Bumpin' NJ bassline and jammin' keys make for an extra special memory!
"All" by VA
from Kon And Amir Present Uncle Junior's Friday Fish Fry "The Cleaning"

First slept on this CD when I was sent a copy about 5 years ago then decided to bump it in the ride one day. Oh man, what an uplifting, get-you-ready-for-summertime mix! I remember playing at a BBQ one summer... out of a friend's Ford Explorer with all four doors (and the trunk) open with the car pointed in the appropriate direction! Good times.
"ALL" by Calcutta Cyber Cafe
from Drum + Space
Greetings my fellow DC heads and thanks for having me aboard! For my debut post I decided to share an album/CD from '96 from Talvin Singh going under a project called Calcutta Cyber Cafe. While not always true I have come to believe that most people's best work is their first. It's usually their raw essence. This CD consists of 2 long tracks which are a mix of ambient, ethnic, and electronic telling a life story in the context of the sounds that were prevalent at the time.
I was very stoked to find this lying around while converting all my CDs to the ol' hard-drive as I thought it had been lost all this time. And actually what I found inside the original CD cover was a burned copy of the disc. I remember letting my cousin borrow it years ago, him losing it, and finding this copy somehow. You'll notice that the last few minutes of the album are suddenly cut-off, so if by chance anyone has the complete last track PLEASE...! I'm not sure if the fact that I was very deep into a 'journey' at the time or that Mr. Singh and I share the same descent weighed in, but the composition and feel of this album is very special to me. I don't want to try to describe it, but would rather have you just kick-back and ENJOY!
