"Theme One" by Van Der Graaf Generator
from Pawn Hearts
For some reason I think I was getting this band confused with Bachman, Turner Overdrive or something...which is really weird. Cause these dudes rock in a totally different way. I think there's a youtube video of them playing this song on beat club.
also, check out this dude.
"Les Dieux Meme" by Atoll
The beginning of this song was playing in my head until I got it out by making it into some star trek hip hop loop. It's a pretty epic song, the keyboard instrumental section around 4:11 is total genesis style (lamb lies down, trick of the tail era), I totally jump around my room playing air keyboard when that shit comes on.
I haven't gotten around to getting an upload account for tracks yet, just gimme some time and I'll lay it on you.
"Experience (Live)" by Gentle Giant
from King Biscuit Flower Hour
Intense Moog intro. Medieval Funk. Jamfest. Way better than the album version (in my opinion).
"Sorcerer" by Mort Garson
from Ataraxia: The Unexplained
This jam goes out to Dan (Sorcerer Chimney). Wait till it gets busy halfway through, I think that's where the apprentice messes with the glowing orb and turns time inside out and the Sorcerer's business begins. Thanks Mort.
"Angry Eyes" by Loggins & Messina
from Loggins & Messina
I always knew loggins had it in him to have a serious 7 minute jam out session. What I didn't know is that it would also include some seventies session, acid flute solo (the bass breakdown is kickin too). Sometimes I just wanna skip all that MESSina and get to the chorus again but it makes for a great car ride on a hot day. I like how on the cover of this album, Kenny Loggins is almost entirely made of hair and messina looks super baked.
get your loggins and password ready and get ready to be ball-less after to you listen to this tender vittle.
