"Echo Beach" by Martha and the Muffins from Faraway In Time

Always had heard that Rush liked 'em but after you get taken by the likes of Quarterflash and Wang, excuse me, Huang Chung, you don't want to mess around with saxes. Sorry, Lerxst. But I hear that Romeo Void song a lot and that's a real good one so what the hell. And hell, this is great, way better than the Black Kids were on Jimmy Kimmel tonight....for further fun, check out the Toyah version, sporting some serious of-the-times-ness.

"The Judas Kiss" by Metallica from Death Magnetic

Sorry, but sooooo good. I have my 20th yr. HS reunion next month and I really would be non-embarrassed to be caught pre-burning to this in the parking lot (at Giovanni's no less). WOOHOO!

"Two Hearts Beat As One" by U2 from War

I stole the 1st 3 albums tonight. They're supposed to be Deluxe, incl. like everything but the remix I remember for this'ne is not here. The new versions are actually sonically sound, 'cept for a coupla bad choices mixwise. 2HBA1

"Myrrh" by The Church from Heyday

Probably my fave tune from these guys. It is so G-D'd strange that a lot of my high school Rock leanings were t'wards Oztrailia: AC/DC, The Birthday Party, INXS, Divinyls, Midnight Oil, The Hoodoo Gurus, The Screaming Tribesmen, Exploding White Mice, Scientists, (were the Johnnys a part of this era?), um, and that dude on the Lost Boys soundtrack, Jimmy Barnes..? I could site f'n stellar tunes from each of these bands that would make me cream and Kraut but intstead I offer this tune. I think I once said Sonic Youth took some shit from Bailterspace. Well, B-Space took it from here.

"Cool Cat" by Queen from Hot Space

I downloaded almost every Queen record, something I've done before. This time the quality was better, but Sheer Heart Attack got left out and the lousy records ( Innuendo? C'mon...) stayed. S'what I get for stealing music I guess. I did get this record though and it's mostly worth it just to hear what pissed off Queen fans. Ha-ha.

"*probably not much, but who knows*" by The Kills from ?

...so this band, The Kills, plus group, comes into the bar late-ish. Could be trouble. But guess what? They are nice people, even when I try to get the English guy to know/remember/recall? certain members of Babyshambles. Well, it didn't really work out so well that way, nobody I know knows anybody else. Apparently.

"Traveller" by Amon Duul II from Hijack

Had a great time playing records at the Skylark last night, triple-tag-teaming bowling style with some of the first people I met in Chicago; one up after another, no "sets". Keeps you on your toes, you know? And rarely have I heard this band while not being under the influence of something so I needed the added attention -to-things. But even without the Sauza this song would've still raised the hairs..

"Untitled" by Interpol from Turn On The Bright Lights

There is no shortage of Chim-love re: this band so there clearly is no need to re-post the track but Dude... this song nearly reduced me to a blobby mess within 15sec. tonight. A friend actually asked me what was up. "It's just that song."
