"Ma Vie" by Alain Barrière
from Ma Vie
I'm curious to know how it sounds for a non-french listener. The intro is a bit like "don't make me over"'s dionne warwick (1962). This track has been played a million of times here in france on the radio. It's still played actually. From 1964, there is no wedding or popular ballroom without such a hit like this one. It's the kind of track which is more a cultural reference (you know where you're from) than a personal musical taste. And it counts. The chorus is a real performance cause no body else can sing it without breaking his voice. Everyone can imagine himself to be a popular idole in the middle of the old french provincial sixties. White&red blazer recommended. Apologizes.

"I Like to Live the Love" by B.B. KING
from His definitive greatest hits
Changing weather, changing music. I went on BB King classics last week. And the spring tries to end the winter for the first time this year. Blue sky, blue music. Ladies and gentleman...

"The Sweet Cheat Gone" by The Durutti Column
from LC
Friday evening and so much rain today, brrr - finally the week is over and i play this track i know so well. It's like an ovnie on this album. The only piano track for Viny Reilly here. And this is a diamond. Have a good week end. The sweet cheat gone
"How many Worlds" by Brian Eno
from Another Day on Earth
Definitly the track of the week ! Have you ever flight over seas and fields ? Ok, this is a "cliché". Strings have this power to transport you and make you loose your weight (it's only a sensation - Kellogs is working better on your fit, on your fat). I love this track because of the instrumental part. ANd because of the chorus return at the end which make you get back on earth. Take a tour right this way :

"Wild is the wind" by David Bowie
from Station to Station
Actually the track of the week. I come again on it to upload the track this time. I played the Nina Simone's version this morning which is half long and offers this original lovely twist. wild is the wind

this is when you turn on yourself again and again, dancing with your arms, and suddenly, the buildings and the city grounds are fragmented into dust, disappearing through the cloudy sky;at the end of the track, you still turning but you're standing at the top of the cliff - wild is the wind, isn't it ?
