"Baby You've Been on my Mind" by Linda Ronstadt
Wow! What a hottie! I pretty much love all versions of this song. The Dion version is pretty much my favorite though....
Don't mind the frisbee tossing! awesome!
"Station Man" by Fleetwood Mac
from Kiln House
Rad album and rad track!
Some serious riff groovage....
Take a listen!
"Rose Garden" by Joe South
from Games People Play
Had to pick this track since the melody was stuck in my head all day!
Many good records were purchased on this portion of the tour. There were even mulitple copies of records bought due to the lucky finds and cheap prices, like Dire Straits' "Brothers in Arm," some Joe Walsh records, and some Al Green records. I even bought a new record player on tour! Niiice!
Anyway, I picked up this Joe South record because it had all the hits on it and I had never seen it before...great find!
It's good to be back!
"I know that loving" by Tindersticks
from Simple Pleasure
The Tindersticks never seem to disappoint. They have the uncanny ability to be subtle yet portray a full wall of sound at times. Love it!
This song, in particular, has some of the most amazing background vocals and they slinky melody just sucks you right in. I had the pleasure of opening a show awhile back and they were some class act dudes.
"All tracks - especially the first one" by BUG IN
from BUG IN
I got to work this morning and turned my itunes on and for some odd reason, it started playing the entire album to Ryan's favorite Dune buggy soundtrack, BUG IN!
It was a pleasant surprise. nice work.
"Lions" by Tones on Tail
I was feeling a little 80's after watching the movie "Rad."
Sort of a classic BMX movie with some classic 80's hits and style.
Anyway, loving this Tones on Tail song.
Great synth sounds and wispy vocals are always a good thing.
I can't believe I wasn't into these guys earlier.

"The Moon" by Cat Power
from The Greatest
This song is so damn good!
This album is so damn good!
I want to record my drums in that studio!
"All" by Antony and the Johnsons
from I am a bird now
I keep coming back to this record. At first listen, the vocals can be a little strange.... but it creeps in real slow. It's sort of like creeper weed.
"Tighten Up" by Yellow Magin Orchestra
from Xoo Multiples
Loving this cover of the Archie Bell and the Drells, "Tighten Up."
Holy Crap, this is the raddest ever!
These guys are like a band that always ends up in your dreams. Then you wake up with a huge smile!
"Listen to the Music" by Isley Brothers
This has got to be one of the grooviest versions of this Doobie Brothers song ever.
This is a must listen for all Chimneys.
Get in on gmail! I also added "Love The One You're With" on gmail... get them both!
