"See My Baby Jive" by Wizzard
from Wizzard Brew
A spectacle for the eyes and ears. Seriously, enjoy this.

"Heard 'Em Say" by Kanye West
from Late Registration
I can't believe how much I love this song with the Maroon 5 guy crooning in the background over some dope-ass bass and Kanye kickin it over some pretty little piano about how sometimes thats just the way it is. Somewhere in my DNA I am programmed to be a sucker for shit like this.
"Camplight" by Radar Bros
from And the Surrounding Mountains
I think I bought this album because James told me to buy it, I think C&S was playing with them that night? The Jameson makes me forget... but regardless he was right and this song feels like a soft cushiony seat floating me up into the air to fly along on a warm breeze.
"Whole thing" by Sufjan Stevens
from Greetings from Michigan: The Great Lakes State
I can't help it, I love this guy. He's got banjo and strings and xylophone and tons of other fun stuff going on here. Maybe its the fact that I grew up Catholic in Michigan but I can relate to this album on a particular level, and its a little discomforting. In a good way though. His next album has so much god its crazy. I don't know what to think about that much god, but I sure do love his music.
"Carry Me Ohio" by Sun Kil Moon
from Ghosts of the Great Highway
Look at me, I'm not a dead chimney. This whole album has been a daily listen for me since a friend recommended it, but this one in particular is a beauty. The vocals on this track are so pretty I could kill you.
"ALL" by buzzcocks
from singles going steady
I missed enjoying the buzzcocks growing up; chalk that up to stupidity. This comp of singles is the catchiest mofoin bunch of songs I have listened to in forever. If you haven't heard this before, or haven't listened to it for some time, give it another listen.
"The Food" by Common w/Kanye West
from upcoming??
Even though Common has taken a lot of flak for going so commercial (Coke commercial is about as commercial as you can get), he can still bust some dope songs. This one was performed live on the Dave Chappelle show last week and it keeps getting better every time I hear it. Track produced and chorus courtesy of producer/artist du jour, Kanye West. Download the show version somewhere and check it out.
"Slow Slow Slow" by HiM
from Many in High Places Are Not Well
Man, thank goodness the musicians from bands I really appreciate get a bug up their ass and try new shit. Randomly found this tune while checking out the label for the new Mice Parade album I got. Not only is the Mice Parade album great, but found that an ex member of June of '44 calls himself HiM and busts some great music on his own. Dub city from June of '44, who would have thunk it?
"All" by Bill Laswell, Bob Marley
from Dreams of Freedom: Ambient Translations of Bob Marley in Dub
I have been listening to this at work lately and its helped make it so melllooooowwww. I got this disk from some random friend of a friend on a trade and didn't listen to it for a very long time. How stupid of me. It's fucking great and I highly recommend it.
"Fascination" by Human League
from No Idea
Woke up this morning and decided to change my mind about the sucky nature of things and instead focus on the goodness in the world. This song was in my head, and I promptly downloaded it. Then a co-worker caught me singing and dancing in my chair to it. It was a fine moment.
