Was stuck in the deepest bowels of computer upgrade hell last night, so almost by autopilot, just kept bringing the needle back to the top on this. Such great mellow colors throughout .. a kissing cousin to some of my fave Claude Thornhill pieces, too. Sir Duke pulled a poor soul through the flames once again.

Unfortunately, no idea who the performer is on the version that popped up on the ipod this AM, but this version, as sonically camera-tinny as it is, gets closest online. Love how both is sounds like an electric piano, and the bass line has this conga-like drive ...
