"In A War Such Things Happen" by Conjure from live on BBC radio. (voices: Ishmael Reed and Taj Mahal)

...and the lauging bear asks "what became of those creatures that used to shot us for sports?"
truly amazing i just noticed that nothing is to be found on TotD of Kip Hanrahan. Coming already a long way i still think he is one of the best arrangers on all fields. I really dig his first records on his own label american clavé very very very much. Going up and down in toutes directions these albums amaze you over and over. As composer / percussionist he joins together all sorts of stuff with various well-picked muscians. anyhow i once read he's not much into finding his own tracks on the WWW, so i just drop this thang he did for the bbc radio and is to be found on the american clavé site..so it must be ok :) Totally different but very in the same gesture and truth, this track made under Conjure wings tells us the various truths of the reality we live in. This mellow kinda track grows on you after various listning sessions. The harsh general dude shouting "this is a war..and in a war such things happen" feels at first that he should have some eq-ing ..but in time it all is in place, as it normally does with Kip Hanrahan.
Nothing is hidden, yet there is so much to be discovered.

"Soleil D'Ork (Ork' Sun)" by MAGMA from Üdü Wüdü

as trough history of men the worship of our mighty sun was always there. As the lifesaver of all spieces and the one and only real power, god sun was asked in various ceremonies to also be there the next day. As nowadays we take all these thing for granted its always good to have this funky chant at hand.
