"Pustinjski dijamant (Belgrade's Quick Edit)" by U Skripcu from O, Je!

Pustinjski dijamant comes for the ever important Yugo new wave record O, Je! by U Skripcu .
They were well into Spandau Ballet, new romantic disco and all that. Don't bother with anything they released after 1983.

"Loutna Ceská 1" by Václav Týfa & Konstelace Josefa Vobruby from Václav Týfa

The self titled Václav Týfa LP is the only solo record by the great Czech trumpet player.
He assembled the all star crew for this jazz funk monster. Side one is an original jazz-rock suite in six parts, Loutna Ceská. Here is part 1
On side two, Tyfa covers Blood Sweat and Tears... for better or worse.
The record goes for silly money these days (in spite of really bad sound quality), I was lucky enough to pick it up for 1 EUR during my last visit to Prague.

"Zauvek srecni" by Boban Petrovic from Zora (1984)

Boban was the king of Yugo disco during the late 70s / early 80s.
His first record Zur is a cult classic these days.
Zajedno srecni comes from his second (flop) album, which actually sounds pretty good today.

"Okean" by Luna from Nestvarne stvari LP (1984)

I was asked by Zeroy chim to dig out old Luna / La Strada records.
Tisma's depressive music produced by Suba.
Okean is not really represenative cut... still, here it is.

"Alisa" by Rex Ilusivii from Disillusioned!

Suba was easily the best producer ever to emerge from Eastern Europe.
He left Yugoslavia just before the war broke out. He went to Paris and then to Brazil... he produced some great music while there, like Sao Paolo Confessions and Bebel Gilberto's Tanto Tempo...
The legend goes that he died while trying to save Tanto Tempo tapes from the studio caught in fire.
Alisa is the cut from his very first official record - Disillusioned. It's a magical piece of vinyl , only 500 copies pressed.
