been enjoying this all morning over here. gil evans is a genius arranger, i don't know how you would go about arranging an entire orchestra in such a detailed manner without going insane. then again, gil was 47 years old at the time, dude had been around the block. plus i bet it was hella rewarding to hear miles flow over your chords and what not.
