was super shocked and saddened yesterday when i read about jerry fuchs.
i saw turing machine play at north sixth randomly a few years back while i was at a show for a band i can't recall. i remember being so stoked on their whole set though, and then being blown away at the end when they finished by doing a can song.
i would see that dude out in brooklyn here and there at shows and was seriously star struck every time, thinking of how gnarly his drumming was at that show.

Although I had only met Jerry a few times recently, I was devastated this past Sunday...completely shocked and at a loss for words. Everywhere I look, I see people pouring out hundreds of amazing stories and memories of him that come close to reaching "tall tale" status...he just had that effect on people, myself included.
