Got the On The Corner box for my birthday which has tons of deep fried abstract funk nuggets throughout..most pushing 20 minutes. Considering how post-processed the original LP was its nice to hear the extended jams the final mix came from without crazy panning and loops. This is a nice little taster of a take for On The Corner.
Killer! Such the band on this. McLaughlin choking that poor guitar and Badal Roy spicing it up with those tablas. So many percussionists in the band. You kind of need to remind yourself it's a Miles jam cause that trumpet is making itself scarce . . .
