Hugh Tracey's recordings of African music are truly an endless treasure trove. This one popped up on the shuffle the other day and blew my mind. A sweet but serious voice sings over a steady heavy string riff. It made me think of Mia Doi Todd for some reason.

Afreaka! I'd love to see that twanger. Dude sure knows how to control the sounds he gets out of one or two strings. Nice soft vocal
