Sometimes get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of crap that's floating around out there on blogs nowadays, but there are a few that I find myself returning to religiously for their originality and quality. Voodoo Funk is one of them - amazing tales of homeboy's excursions around Africa digging for records, with plenty of stories, photos, cover art, and mixes. So rad and so worth your time.

Wow, he finally closed voodoofunk down, eh? Ultimately his batshit travelling stories were probably better than anything else there, but so cool that he shared mixes/covers of all the insane afro-goodness he managed to score. Hopefully he keeps the archives there up indefinitely - still lots to dig through.
And hopefully one day I can crank out an album cover 1/10th as cool as this:
