well if you talk about sound/style i would say the black sun 12" wich i have doesn't really sound like the tracks from snob ...it's way more ny black disco styled....
the credits on snob say it was produced by helen le roy, phillipe renaux and patrick barbero and conducted by phi lip walter ( wich could be an alias of Wally Hamilton ) so my guess is that wally's mobile studio is in fact a space ship flying all over the place to abduct studio musicians.... |

Both of these productions have the same bassist and synth players, so must be the same crew. The release on Buddah was 1977 I think. |

total chaos, right? wheres my fuckin medicine?? Tops that Renaux is not exactly the kinda guy you'd just credit when u need to come up with a name. Now hardest is to say who it sounds like, even though I'd say it's a bit too straight for Renaux. Puuuh, no idea |

no no, Black Sun is always Black Sun, as far as i know, the first album from 1978 comes with two different artworks - the one below and the b/w with the parasol - and then 2 years later Black Sun II (written on the label), which is also produced by Wally |

When I saw your post, I thought how many disco productions used Black Sun. Then I see it's Wally Hamilton again. This is one he did in 1978 called Black Sun . It says recorded with the help of Wally Hamilton's 24 track mobil unit (in Wally's place somewhere in New Jersey.) It's on Rockland |
