I had no idea this was Harold's first record when I recently picked it up at a local shop.. I also had no idea how great it would be. The music on this record sounds like a a scene in Hitchcock's Vertigo, the one where James stewart dreamily follows the mysterious woman though her ghostly past in and out of magical places of the past in San Francisco. One of the most haunting scenes in cinema- this record sounds like if one could preserve the haunting feeling evoked by this imagery and loop it. Dont mind that Gavin Bryars plays the glockenspiel on this record too.
