My second post from these guys, I recently received their newly released best of Cd called Desertion 1982-1988.
They first reminded me of a kind of Synth version of The Cure, kinda dark and brooding..imagine my surprise on opening the cd to see this statement...
"The songs on this were recorded 20-25 years ago... Our Cause? We wanted to meld the melodic angst of The Cure with the electronic funk of Kraftwerk."
The whole comp is great. Well worth hunting down.
