500 tracks...that's a shitload of music if you think about everything that's not posted as a track of the day. well, as the first to 500, i'm feeling free to post a little something that comprises a few firsts for me. 1. this represents my first DJ set ever as witnessed by Frank Chimney last saturday (had to set up a couple of the mixes before hand and then filled in the blanks w/ vinyl live). 2. this is my first time ever recording vinyl into protools. good shit! 3. first time using protools beyond it's basic editing capabilities (love those envelopes Coworker showed me how to bust). 4. first time doing a mix -- hence the roughness. the fade and bust is your friend. 5. this probably also might be one of the few times somebody ever mixed sunny California pop with pounding 4/4 German techno. a silly mix i did ladies and gentleman, but i love every silly minute of it, so BUST!
