I think that processed guitar tone you are referring to is actually the trumput tape on Paul Hoaglin's mellotron that we recorded while he does his hoaglin maginc to the thing.

snigals is what comes out when you're trying to say "signals" and you have a really bad lisp. actually, it would be pronounced more like "thnigals," be we thought that might be too overboard.
