What is this site ?A way to easily create or rename your mp3 files using Discogs.com. |
Why would i use this ?If you like to digitize your records, this is a painless way to properly name your newly created mp3 file to a standard naming format. |
What will the mp3 filename look like ?
The default naming convention for the mp3 file name that is created is in the form "Arist Name" "Song Title" "Catalogue Number", removing all spaces, odd or illegal characters. An example for the Steely Dan track "Do it Again" would be Steely_Dan_-_Do_It_Again_(ABC_758).mp3
We have just added new options for the filename, see on the left. |
TIP: Drag this Javascript bookmarklet [Mp3 Filename] to your toolbar. When you find the Discogs page you want to make mp3 names for, click it and it will automatically take you back here. |
