Toronto Hustle & Sean Roman’s next drop on London’s Freerange Records is called ‘The Detoronto EP’ and about to cause a big splash.
Gorgeous house vibes from these two experienced DJs and producers, featuring Detroit royalty Javonntte to form one of the most-heavy house releases so far this year. There’s further weight added by the mighty Demuir on the remix.
We asked one half of the Canadian duo, Mark Kufner aka Toronto Hustle to take us to the after party with his choice selections for the perfect late-nite playlist.

Ron Trent presents WARM - Cool Water Feat. Azymuth
This is off the beautiful WARM album from 2022 by Chicago deep house icon Ron Trent. I listen to this album regularly and love the chill downtempo vibes.
The Jones Girls - You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else
This is an amazing track from Philadelphia International Records from 1979 by The Jones Girls. It was recently covered by Maceo Plex and Jon Dasilva feat. Joi Cardwell. I am a HUGE fan of the original version.
Soul II Soul - Keep On Moving
What can I really say? This one takes me back to grade 9. This is soul music at its finest.
Sade - I Couldn't Love You More
Sade is one of my all time favorite artists. I own all of the albums, and this song in particular was the song that my wife and I danced to at our wedding. Sade is impeccable and timeless.
Caribou - Can't Do Without
I love this whole album. Caribou is also a fellow Canadian!
Mos Def - Umi Says
This song reminds me of NYC. Perfect in every way.
Minnie Ripperton - Inside My Love
This song came out in 1975. One year after i was born. Some of my earliest memories of hearing music were of this song. It definitely has a special place in my heart.
Chaka Khan - Ain't Nobody
I have loved this jam since day one! Chaka Khan sounds incredible on this record! Feel for you was another Chaka Khan jam that used to get played all the time at my house.
Lucy Pearl - Dance Tonight
I have always loved this one. Nice vibes all around. A perfect collaboration between Dawn Robinson (EnVouge) Raphael Sadiq (Tony! Toni! Toné!) and Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest)
Robert Glasper Experiment - Thinkin' about You Feat. Talib Kweli (Kaytranada Remix)
This is a perfect record. Robert Glasper, Kaytranada and Talib. How could it not be perfect.
